“The Staff are AMAZING**Do yourself a favor and BOOK HERE!!!!!
My wife and children stayed at this hotel while I was in hospital having surgery… Let me just say this, THE STAFF ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! … They treat you like a friend and always interested in what is going on with you.
When the staff found out that I was being discharged from the hospital and we had decided to stay the night instead of travel home, they all came together to start making arrangements for my arrival back to my families room…
It truly was moving and appreciated to have them do so much and offer so much. They even offered to send someone to pick me up at the hospital and have someone look after my bags and assist me getting into the room.”

“This hotel should be 10 stars!
My husband and i stayed here to celebrate his 60th birthday. We could not have been more happy about this choice. The staff were the most cohesive and friendly we have ever encountered. They seemed to genuinely care, from the front desk to the kilted valets to the servers -everyone was outstanding and kind.
We were so impressed that our hard-working room attendant, Micaela, took the time to write a note with her good wishes for a happy birthday in Halifax on seeing my husband’s birthday cards, which was so thoughtful!
The spectacular views and local attractions, coupled with such a warm, grand (the building was converted from a casino) and excellent hotel made this a truly memorable stay and we would return in a heartbeat!”

“30th Wedding Anniversary Celebration!
We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary staying at the Halliburton and we were not disappointed! The room was an adequate size, spotless. A lovely courtyard at the back to sit of an evening and sample the Halliburton’s cocktails!
Lots to choose at breakfast, but what made it so special for us was that the staff were so friendly, helpful and very hard working, loved the attention to detail, right down to the bottle of champagne left in our room for our anniversary!
If we are fortunate to return to Halifax, the Halliburton would be first on our list to book!“

“Very nice
We arrived at 3:30 am and we treated like royalty by Richard. Very helpful. Even gave us the number of a restaurant that delivers until 5 am!
Our room was spotless and had a beautiful view of the harbor. Breakfast was usual Hampton Inn but the area was clean which is difficult to maintain with as many people as were there. Great place to stay downtown. Within walking distance to the Citadel, Scotia Arena, and lots of great places to eat.”

“Care and compassion
We were in the city for our son’s surgery and had to get up earlier to go to the hospital. Your front staff provided us with a lovely bagged breakfast. Then when later it turned out that we unexpectedly had to stay at the hospital overnight your front desk staff was so kind and concerned and assisted us with cancelling our second night.
We will definitely be back!”

“Perfect
Our stay at the Courtyard was simply perfect. Great location right at the waterfront, views on the bay, big, clean, comfortable room.
Service was simply outstanding. Not only the friendliness and courtesy of all staff, but also prompt service. As Marriott Rewards member we got a personal handwritten message upon our arrival with vouchers for two free drinks, and complimentary parking. I never felt treated as well in bigger, more upscale hotels.”

“A Prince of a Hotel
We were greeted warmly, staff arranged adjoining rooms for us for an early check in. While waiting we enjoyed a drink in the Level Bar. We had a few requests for the room and all were honoured professionally and quickly. All in all a very pleasant and comfortable experience.
We were treated royally!!”

“Beautiful Hotel and Centrally Located
Our stay was wonderful! The hotel is beautiful, and our room left nothing to be desired. We had a gorgeous view of the harbor, and enjoyed waking up to that scene every morning we were there. It was definitely worth the extra money to book a room with a harbor view. We were especially grateful for the staff who were always helpful, courteous, considerate and very knowledgeable.
Of particular mention is Yaro, the valet who always ran, not walked, to retrieve our car for us timely, and Trevor, who is the concierge who always steered us to places we enjoyed visiting and restaurants where we enjoyed the food at reasonable prices.”

We stayed for only one night on our way through the maritimes and we did NOT want to leave!
… The dining room staff are also the hardest working people I’ve ever seen! Truly the best hotel we stayed at during our trip thru Quebec and Maritimes, and so well located at the foot of La Citadel and a short walk downhill to Lower Water Street, you will not need to use your car to tour downtown!”

“Exceptional Hospitality
We recently had a 2 week stay at the Comfort Hotel Bayer’s Lake while visiting family in Halifax. Right from the initial conversation we had with Nimfa, the GM, regarding long stay pricing our impression of this hotel was positive and never disappointing.
We were warmly and enthusiastically greeted by Jessica at the front desk when we arrived. All of our interactions with staff found them going above and beyond to provide friendly and efficient service. Aimee, in the breakfast room greeted us warmly each morning…
Nimfa oversees the hotel with a warm and welcoming approach, even making rounds in the breakfast room to speak with all the guests one morning. We were gifted with free carrot cake and bottled water in our room one evening and on Christmas Eve we returned to our room to find chocolates and a handwritten Holiday Greeting.
Our experience surpassed any that we have had at any hotel previously. It is clear why this establishment is rated #1. We will absolutely stay at the Comfort Hotel next time we are in Halifax.”
