“OMG! Incredible!
Such an incredible surprise! My husband wanted to “just” go an look at the ship… Well, we ended up going virtually EVERYWHERE on it!!! We were even in the engine room!
Any question one had was answered. I have no idea how long we were on the tour.
It was an experience where you lost track of time, because it was so interesting!“

“Fascinating Cemetery
If you are remotely interested the History of the Titanic this is a must visit place. However if you are not familiar with the names behind the Graves you will struggle unless you do some research before your visit.
I would recommend that you take a tour with a local guide that has the knowledge and insight to explain exactly [what] you are looking at. We used Halifax Titanic Historical Tours. We had a wealth of information from the guide which really enhanced the whole experience of the visit.“

“A lovely ride!
We enjoyed the quick trip across the harbour and back. It was also lucky that we arrived in Dartmouth just as the Natal Day parade was passing and we witnessed Sidney Crosby carrying the Stanley Cup.
It was a beautiful and fun way to see Halifax from the water.”

“Great park in the middle of Halifax
Walked to the park from our hotel (I may recommend driving lol it was a bit of a hike) and had a wonderful time.
There aren’t too many people and you get an incredible view of the water and a lighthouse off in the distance. There are tons of walking paths and any way you go is a beautiful scene.
Ran into a very nice officer on a horse as well as a nice woman walking her dog on the rocks. Everyone is so friendly it will make it hard to leave! A must while you are in Halifax.”

“What a great place!
I was visiting Halifax for just one night on a Maritime Road Trip so I wasn’t sure how much time I would have for museums and tours. However, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, with its great location and reasonable admission fee, seemed like it would be a mildly interesting visit. How wrong I was! It was fantastic!
All the exhibits were spellbinding and the story of Halifax is told vividly through pictures and films. Listen, I don’t care about boats and fishing—yet [even] I found this place engaging and informative. It was easy for my senior companion to make her way around the building and I think I would make a second visit next time I am in Halifax!”

“A wonderful surprise for recent (and not so recent) immigrants!
On the spur of the moment, I decided to see if my grandfather’s entry was listed, and the archivist found it right away! He’d come from Liverpool with his parents and brother, they had $50 between them, and my great-grandfather was heading to Toronto to work as a trolley driver for the TTC. We even received information about the boat they’d traveled on.
If you’re an immigrant, or know someone who is, this is the Ellis Island of Canada and well worth the visit.” Read the full review.

“Excellent tour! One of the best we ever had!
Maintained by Parks Canada, this is a fascinating site. We had a wonderful tour guide, Jeff — he was full of information, was enthusiastic and funny. He presented everything in a way that COULD have been a dry recitation of facts, but he brought it to life.
Every single day (except Christmas Day) at 12:00 noon, the main cannon is fired. On the hour each day there is a changing of the guard. And walking tours are given throughout the day.
The views of the city are wonderful. I highly recommend this!”

“One of the best public libraries I have ever been to
We wished we had it in our city. We have not checked the book section because we went for a quick visit and because we wanted to see the architecture.
The reading rooms are enormous, the light in the building is beautiful especially on the last floor. It is a wonderful place to study, to read, to get inspired, to write, to research. They have a section of books that can be consulted online too and a terrace on the last floor that is open in season. Halifax Central Library is really a place that inspires.”

“A Jewel in Halifax
What a beautiful jewel the city of Halifax has with their Public Gardens!
It was such a pleasure to walk the grounds and see the beautiful flowers and trees. It really is an oasis with many places to sit and relax. I could have sat for a very long time on a bench near the Boer War Memorial Fountain, in the shade, listening to the sound of the water and admiring the beauty of the gardens surrounding me.
We were lucky to be there on a gorgeous sunny day that really brought out the bright colours in the many different flower beds. The visit to the gardens was one of the highlights of our trip.”
