At just $2.75, the 15-minute ride across the harbour on the Alderney Ferry from Halifax to Downtown Dartmouth is a must-do Halifax experience for visitors and locals alike.

Halifax Transit Ferry Service crosses from the Halifax Waterfront to Dartmouth’s Alderney Landing terminal and to the Woodside terminal every 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the time of day. The ferries take approximately 15 minutes to travel between Dartmouth and Halifax.
