March 5
Nova Voce, Nova Scotia’s Provincial Men’s choir is helping overcome the winter blues by presenting “O Canada – A Musical Journey.” They’ll share new music and traditional folk songs from the East Coast, through central Canada, across the prairies and mountains, to British Columbia, highlighting the geography, history and traditions of this great land. From fishing off Cape Saint Mary’s, to the clacking of Quebec mills in J’entends le Moulin; from Stan Roger’s Bluenose, to the Four Strong Winds of Ian Tyson’s Alberta, and more, there’s something for everyone. Come hear the rich harmonies of Nova Voce on Saturday, March 4 at St Luke’s United Church in Upper Tantallon, and Sunday, March 5 at the Stage at St Andrews in Halifax.
