Bill Greenlaw has received a Destination Halifax Ambassador Award for his contributions to this year’s Canadian Museums Association (CMA) conference.
“Bill has been a long standing and dedicated member of the CMA and has served in various executive capacities including President of the Association,” said Jeff Turner, New Business Development Manager, Sales, Destination Halifax. “Destination Halifax’s discussions with Bill started back in 2004, confirming his dedicated and “persistent” nature in pursuing the opportunity to host the conference here. With Bill it was never “if” the conference would be hosted here but “when”.”
The conference took place at The Westin Nova Scotian from April 11 – April 15, 2016, attracting nearly 350 delegates.
The Canadian Museums Association (CMA) is the national organization for the advancement of the Canadian museum sector, representing Canadian museum professionals both within Canada and internationally.
Sue Lamothe, Director of Finance & Operations advised Bill is definitely an Ambassador for Halifax stating “he has been very persistent over a long period in working toward Halifax hosting the conference.”
The Ambassador Program is an alliance of individuals and organizations who achieve economic growth for the Halifax region through the promotion of Halifax as a premier meetings and conventions destination. The program has been led by Destination Halifax since 2002.
