5 – Dingle Tower in Sir Sandford Fleming Park
Sir Sandford Fleming Park is a 95-acre park located in Halifax’s West End Region. Not only does this stunning place feature walking trails, a sandy beach, picnic tables, and beautiful woodland, it is also home to the Dingle Tower, a monument dedicated in 1912 to commemorate 150 years of representative government in Nova Scotia.
Visitors can climb this 111-foot tall tower, complete with bronze lions guarding its entrance and enjoy 360 degree views of the surrounding area, including the North West Arm. It’s a great place for a romantic stroll, or a picnic with someone special.
